A story is told of a desirous man
Who desired more of fertile land
He sells to others what he has
To join a contest he would pass
The day is set with everyone seated
The man persisted as contestants retreated
On and on he gained more land
Weary and weary grew his hand
He hardly could hear the cheer and clap
As greed fed him a sneer and slap
In the end he gained the largest plot
But arrived at the finish-line with his soul lost.
