DIVERGENT

The world makes it seem
As though my life is dependent on its new trends

A foreigner however on this land, world
I passionately desire His presence

Lustful pleasures of this world
Wrestling to reside endlessly in my heart

To capture my soul
Pretending that will make me whole

But after Eve got convinced into taking a bite
I pledged never to fall victim of such

Because now I have Christ
Who’s mighty love of me suffic’d

Odd, misfit, and a rebel,
Is what the world calls me

But who cares if,

Child, Friend and Divergent,
Is what God calls me

  1. Who cares......My father sees me differently and I am proud of that. I decide not to conform to the 21st Century
